These are St. Pete Now’s lists of places to eat in St. Petersburg, one page per kind of food. Each page names every place in the category that we could confirm inside the city limits, in alphabetical order, with its address, phone and the hours it publishes on its own website. None of them is a ranking, and nobody pays to be on them. The lists draw on OpenStreetMap records, the same records behind our local directory, and the state’s restaurant license records.
The lists
Where to get wings. Wing shops and sports bars that serve wings, mostly on 34th Street, 4th Street North and in the Gateway area, from Wingstop and Hooters to Whiskey Wings and Beef ‘O’ Brady’s.
Where to get pizza. The longest list: more than 30 pizzerias, from the slice shops and wood-fired ovens on Central Avenue downtown to the delivery chains on 4th Street and 34th Street.
Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants. Taquerias, cantinas and Tex-Mex chains, from Red Mesa and Casita Taqueria to Wicked Cantina and Torchy’s Tacos on the Tyrone side.
Where to get barbecue. A short list of smokehouses and barbecue kitchens, most on the south and west sides, plus Treehouse BBQ on 62nd Avenue North.

How these lists work
Each list starts from OpenStreetMap records inside St. Petersburg’s city limits and the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s restaurant license records, checked against the U.S. Census Bureau’s city-limits map, so Gulfport, Kenneth City, Lealman and the beach towns are left out. We then check each place’s own website for its address, hours and phone. Hours on our pages are only the hours a place publishes itself; where it publishes none, we say so. A place we could not confirm at all is left off until we can. Owners can write to us to add or correct an entry.
