Enrollment and teachers
The federal NCES directory counted 1,125 students in the 2024-25 school year, with 70 full-time-equivalent classroom teachers. That is about 16 students per teacher. The year before, the count was 1,131.
The state’s 2026 grades file lists 91.4% of the school’s students as economically disadvantaged.
State report card
Florida grades every public school A to F on the share of possible points it earns on the measures in the state’s 2026 school grades file: test scores, learning gains and, for high schools, graduation and college and career acceleration. The file sets an A for high schools at 65% of points or more and a C at 45% to 59%.
| School year | Grade |
|---|---|
| 2025-26 | C (51% of possible points) |
| 2024-25 | C |
| 2023-24 | C |
From the same file, the share of students scoring on grade level on the state tests in 2025-26:
- English language arts: 52%
- Math: 32%
- Science: 53%
- Social studies: 64%
The file gives a graduation rate of 90% for 2024-25, and 50% on college and career acceleration (students earning credit through programs such as AP, IB, AICE, dual enrollment or industry certifications).

Attendance zone and feeder schools
Check any address with the district’s School Zone Locator, or see the district’s high school zoning map. Zones do not follow city limits.
Of the 153,244 St. Petersburg address points in Pinellas County’s address layer, 15,135 (9.9%) fall inside the Gibbs zone on that map. An address point can be a house, an apartment or a business.
The district does not publish a feeder list. Comparing its zoning maps (the middle and high school maps it posts were first drawn for 2012-13; the elementary map is for 2026-27), the St. Petersburg addresses in the Gibbs zone fall in these zones:
- Middle school: John Hopkins Middle (68%), Azalea Middle (21%) and Bay Point Middle (11%).
- Elementary school: Campbell Park (33%), Fairmount Park (29%), Melrose (22%), Woodlawn (9%), Maximo (4%) and Gulfport Montessori (3%).
None of the district’s Planning for Progress recommendations, which the School Board votes on at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, would change the Gibbs zone. One elementary school above would grow: the plan closes Bear Creek Elementary and moves part of its zone to Fairmount Park.
