Elections in St. Petersburg are run by the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections, the county office that registers voters, mails ballots and runs early voting and Election Day. The next election is the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026.

Early voting

You can vote at any early voting site in the county, Oct. 19 to Nov. 1, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day, per the early voting page. Bring picture and signature identification.

The office posts wait times for each site on its website while early voting is underway. Gulfport’s site is about four miles from the center of St. Petersburg.

Voting by mail

• Request a ballot online or by phone at 727-464-8683 by 5 p.m. Oct. 22.
• Fill it out, put it in the secrecy envelope, seal the return envelope, then sign and date the back. Your signature is checked against the one on file; update it with a new voter registration application if it has changed.
• Return it by mail in the postage-paid envelope (the office advises allowing at least a week) or drop it at any Supervisor of Elections office or designated ballot return location. Under Florida law, the ballot must reach the office by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
• Check its status on the My Status page.

Changed your mind? Take your mail ballot to your polling place; poll workers will cancel it and you can vote a regular ballot. During early voting and through Election Day, mail ballots cannot be picked up in person except in an emergency, with a signed affidavit.

Election Day

Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3. On Election Day you must vote at your own precinct’s polling place, which may not be the same as last time. Look it up, and see your precinct-specific sample ballot, with Find Your Precinct. An audio sample ballot is also available.

What is on the ballot

The ballot runs from U.S. Senate, Congress and governor and lieutenant governor down to state and local contests. The full candidate list for each contest is on the general election page, and your exact ballot is on your sample ballot.

Registering for future elections

Register or update your address at the state’s RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov. Check your registration status any time on the Supervisor of Elections’ website.

• Request a mail ballot by 5 p.m. Oct. 22; return it so it arrives by 7 p.m. Nov. 3.
