The courses

  • Half marathon: from Bayshore Drive next to The Dalí Museum, up 1st Avenue South past the USF St. Petersburg campus, through the Grand Central District, the EDGE District, the Deuces and the Warehouse Arts District, back along Central Avenue, then along the waterfront through the Old Northeast and Snell Isle to the finish on Bayshore Drive by the Mahaffey Theater plaza. There are eight water and Gatorade stations on the course.
  • 10K: downtown and Central Avenue, then back to the waterfront and out onto the St. Pete Pier before the finish in front of the Mahaffey Theater.
  • 5K: into downtown and Central Avenue, along the waterfront and around the St. Pete Pier, finishing by the Mahaffey Theater plaza.

Each race page carries the full course map. The organizer had not posted 2026 road closure times when we checked. If you live or drive in the Old Northeast, Snell Isle or along Central Avenue, check the maps for the streets the runners use on race mornings.

Parking and getting there

From the organizer’s parking page:

  • Mahaffey Theater lot and garage: $10, cash only, on Saturday and Sunday race mornings, across the street from Albert Whitted Park. The entrance is blocked briefly on Saturday morning for the 10K and 5K starts, so 5K runners are asked to park elsewhere that day.
  • SouthCore garage: entry at 101 1st Ave. S, across from Al Lang Stadium; $3 on Saturdays, more ($5 to $10) during big downtown events.
  • Sundial garage: 117 2nd St. N, two blocks north of Al Lang Stadium; $2 for the first four hours on weekends.
  • Please do not park on Beach Drive, the organizer asks, so the spaces stay free for Beach Drive shops and restaurants.
  • Accessible spaces are next to Al Lang Stadium; enter from 1st Street South.

What to know

  • Strollers are allowed on the half marathon, 10K and 5K courses if you start at the back, and must keep to the time limit.
  • Dogs are not allowed on the race courses. The organizer notes there is a dog park at Vinoy Park nearby. Dogs get their own event: the PeliPAWS Dog Walk on Friday evening.
  • Walkers are welcome in all three races within the time limits.
  • Spectators are welcome along the course and at the finish line.
  • Weather: the organizer says mid-November averages a high of 76 degrees and a low of 62, with half marathon start temperatures most likely in the mid-60s.
